For Import Process

For Export Process

Data Import

Please see the Importing Data using Globus guide.

NOTE: To import new CMS data from physical media, please connect with SPH IT Matt Ronn and Brian Pedrant. They will maintain the physical asset inventory and upload the data through a secure workstation via Globus to ReD Environment.

Data Export

  1. Copy the data file you want to export into the following export folder: /data/labs/nsaph_lab/export

For example to copy the file figure1.png, open the terminal from R or Open OnDemand

cp figure1.png /data/labs/nsaph_lab/export
  1. After this step, the data needs to go through a compliance review before it can be exported outside the FISMA compliant environment. Please notify the Data Manager of your request by starting a Basecamp to-do under "File Export Request Submitted". Please use the following naming convention: Filename_date_Fullname. The Data Manager will then confirm receipt on the thread, and move the to-do through the stages (under review- approved) as it progresses so you can track the status of your request

  2. ReD uses a Scanner (Amazon Macie) to scan sensitive data. Then, the HUIT team will coordinate with the data reviewer (Leila and/or Danielle) to review and approve the export.

  3. Once approved, the data reviewer will export the file into the dropbox folder for researchers to access and notify the user on the Basecamp thread that their file is ready.

The dropbox folder can be accessed using the following password: nsaphlab

Please allow up to 5 working days for your request depending on the number and size of the file(s).

Import a GitHUB repo into ReD Environment

TBD

Special Access to FASSE Archive

Special accommodations for access to the FASSE Archive within the ReD Environment have been made as detailed below. For access to this archive, please contact your Data Manager.

Note: Data access is only available through the specified SLURM partition(s) listed below. That is, OOD terminal sessions (Cluster > Shell Access) cannot access this data, unless one starts an interactive session from here. One can access the data also via the OOD GUI applications and by batch jobs.

SLURM Partition: dominici-large-fasse

Data Storage Location:

The original location, /data/labs/dominici_nsaph_l3/, has been changed to /nsaph-fasse/labs/dominici_nsaph_l3/. Please ensure that you update your job scripts and container bind mounts to point to this new filesystem path.
